Film Review Guardians of the Galaxy – James Gunn – NU nl

Until recently, probably only had real comic nerds heard of this strange superhero team that in this composition dates from 2008

The Guardians are:. Thief Star-Lord, the bright green Gamora, Groot (a huge walking branch), Rocket Raccoon (a trigger raccoon) and Drax the Destroyer.

That they may put in this humorous adventure game mess things up is due to the continuing success of Marvel. After the more famous comic series ( Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man, The Avengers ) can now also less known – and more extreme -. Heroes to the bin

Morag

Guardians of the Galaxy takes us to the planet Morag where earthling Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) tries to steal an object. We soon learn that this metal ball in the hands of the evil Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace), is a threat to the entire universe.

Peter, who likes to call Star-Lord, initially different concerns. He is chased by bounty hunters Groot and Rocket (the voices of Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper), attacked by Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and ends with them in a prison where hothead Drax (Dave Bautista) she awaits.

Extraterrestrial

Fortunately, nothing is more conducive to the formation of a superhero team, as a collective prison outbreak. Rocket knows how to do that: the battery from the one table and, uh, the prosthesis of a guard? It is, in short, a little different than planned. This is a kind of anarchist version of Star Wars .

There is hefty laugh at Large, which is only “I am Groot” can cast the raised Raccoon (call him, especially not rodent!), Drax ‘struggle with earthy metaphors and “The Legend of Footloose .’ Director James Gunn ( Slither, Super ) has an alien sense of humor: in Peters spaceship hangs a picture of Alf

Mixtape

.

Beautiful strange but extremely effective is the fact that Star-Lord a walkman with a nice mixtape has received from his dead mother. Ziggy Stardust t and The Piña Colada Song by Rupert Holmes doing surprisingly well with the beautiful digital worlds and spaceships that the vfx team turns on the canvas.

“Well, well, well, quite the light show”, Michael Rooker spot, in a nice supporting role by the end of the film. Purple explosions are indeed almost impossible to count, and it stores a bit dead, but the many jokes and fun finds in Guardians of the Galaxy provide definitely a twinkle in your eyes.
